Grenache Shiraz Mataro (GSM)
An exciting and complex aroma, showing bright red berry fruits and bramble berries. Also cherries, raspberries, violets and a touch of licorice. The palate is equally enticing. Wonderfully bright berry fruits with spice and a pepper undertone complement the fine tannin texture and very well balanced acidity. Enjoy with Chinese sizzling steak, fat pork sausages, satay beef skewers, lamb yiros and supreme pizza. Drink now to 2028
This is a no holds barred, heart on its sleeve McLaren Vale GSM that is bursting at the seams with ripe, rich fruit. There are layers of luscious jam, red currants and even tar aromas with fabulous generosity of fruit – it’s almost too much but manages to keep the balance just right. That rich and vibrant fruit continues onto the palate with a viscous, fleshy, low acid style supported by supple, open knit tannins and sweet coconut oak. It’s concentrated, long and no doubt a massive crowd pleaser for fans of big Aussie reds. 93 Points.
